Amazing things happen when you just believe…

Stacey Lee’s Centre Stage is proud to present another original musical production called “Perfectly Imperfect”.

The production is loosely based on the ever popular Mary Poppins which was set the Edwardian Era, specifically in 1910.  Our production sees a young, magical woman arrive in London 2019 to help the Law family who is drifting apart due to the common issues facing many families in that day and age. Not enough time to spend together, the need for money and status and homes and social media to appear to be nothing short of “perfect”.

She shows the children how wonderfully magical London can be if you just believe. First stop, Covent Gardens, where all of the flowers and scenery come to life right before their eyes! Then on to the Mayfair Night Bazaar where they find fortune tellers, magicians and other exotic beings. Here they learn that being unique is a wonderful gift and acceptance is so very important.  In the mean time, their mother is upset as she is feeling like she can’t get anything right and just wants to be the mother she dreams of being whilst their father is having troubles of his own at the law firm. Mary works her magic and assists in only the way she can, even against one of the most evil women in history!

There are many familiar songs throughout the production including “Don’t Stop Believing”, “Money, Money, Money”, “Accidentally Kelly Street” all with new lyrics to suit the magic and empowering feel of the production. We are also including “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” for a bit of nostalgia!

Will the Law Family find their way back to one another? What other characters star in the story and did someone say the magic is coming directly from Hogwarts!?!?
